Gathering 163: “Mary’s Midwife” // Christmas Eve Service of Worship

Merry Christmas to you from Beatitudes Church! Like most Christians, you’ve probably seen countless Christmas pageants. This is just one of many Christmas traditions we hold dear. Who can forget the little four-year-old sheep that wanders stage right to stare off seemingly dazed by the big audience? Each year we gather together in worship to watch the story unfold. The shepherds with their sheep, the cow, the donkey, the three wisemen, the mother and father, the baby Jesus, and the midwife. Say what?! The midwife? Join us this Christmas as Pastor Tony Minear recounts an old familiar favorite with a new twist. Chances are you’ve never heard the story recounted in this way, but you’ll never forget the valuable lesson this unaccounted-for-player has for a world in need.
