Speaking of Politics

Today we are honored to speak with Rufus Edmisten.  In addition to being a practicing attorney for over 30 years, Mr. Edmisten is also a past Attorney General and Secretary of State for North Carolina.  In 1984 he won the Democratic nomination for Governor.  Early in his career, he served for 10 years on US Senator Sam Ervin's staff, culminating in his being Deputy Chief Counsel to the Watergate Committee.  Mr. Edmisten has most recently been acting in a government relations capacity for his corporate clients.

He is a regular panelist on North Carolina’s most popular television show on politics, NC SPIN. He is also a go-to legal commentator on Court TV.  He will share his keen insights regarding how he and his peers present their passion for politics and for governing the state and the country.
