An unwavering Gary Woodland played a solid final round at Pebble Beach, to earn his first major championship at the 119th US Open. It was a round where Woodland showed guts, clutch time excellence and a really hot putter only shown by veteran major champions.
It was good enough to convincingly hold the charge of back-to-back defending champion, Brooks Koepka, and outplay his playing partner Justin Rose and win by three shots.
