A survivor of epilepsy, bullying, and other abuse as a child, poet Lisa Lockhart has taken her pain and turned it into a stream of words on the page in her book Unsaid: The Poetic Mastery of Lisa Lockhart. On this episode of Author Reads Lisa gives us a look into the window of her life and how her poetry lifted her up into the person she is now. When no one else would listen to Lisa as a child, she went into herself and came out to grow into the person she is now, a poet, a master of words.
