Hoang Cam, is the penname of Bui Tang Viet, who was born in 1922 in Lac Tho Village, Thuan Thanh District in the northern province of Bac Ninh.
Hoang Cam began to write poetry at the age 8. By the age 14, his first poem was published and received warm reviews from both critics and readers.
