Join us on AWN Radio as we welcome guest, Paula C. Durbin-Westby, founder of the Autism Acceptance Day initiative. We will find out what April means to Autistic people, and how April 2 will be recognized, as well as how acceptance is the theme for the entire month of April.

Paula states: “It's Time to Take Back April! ACCEPTANCE, not "tolerance," not "I accept you but not your autism." We require complete acceptance. Pro-neurodiversity, pro-supports and services, against "cures," Autism Acceptance Day was started to counter April "awareness" stunts that demean Autistics. It has since expanded to become a way of viewing Autism in a positive and accepting light.”
