Sandra graduated from the University of Sydney with a BA in Applied Science and has an MBA from LaSierra University. Her debut Novel, Cecilia, won a Literary Classics Gold Award for Best YA/Adventure and Silver Award for Best YA/Fantasy, and was a Finalist for the Wishing Shelf Book Awards. Sandra wrote and directed the short animation, The Adventures of Gilbert the Goofball, which was runner-up for Best Animation at the Action on Film Festival, and her short story, Lucky Quarter, was a finalist for the Rick DeMarinis Short Story Award. Selected to participate in the Australians in Film Writers Room, Sandra work-shopped the screenplay version of Cecilia which placed in the top 15% of the Film Academy’s Nicholls Screenwriting Competition.
