Career Advice from the Resume Chicks

This week, I will have the pleasure of having the Resume Chicks on who are all certified professional resume writers. These ladies are ready to give you the tips and career advice you need to give your search and resume a jump start.

Sharing a mutual passion for the written word, the Resume Chicks are driven by their enthusiasm to support the goals of individuals during a job search while shaping and extending relationships with recruiters, hiring managers, human resource professionals and others in the careers industry.

The spark igniting the Resume Chicks’ association was an invitation from The Recruiting Animal to appear on his radio show. As a result of his and Jacqui Barrett-Poindexter‘s conversations on Twitter, he issued a summons to face the “Animal Inquisition” on the topic of resumes. He encouraged Jacqui to invite other resume writers and she in turn reached out to five other certified professional resume writers.

Having formed an affinity with a diversity of resume writers on Twitter, Jacqui contacted Dawn Bugni of The Write Solution.com, August Cohen of Get Hired Stay Hired.com , Kris Plantrich of Resume Wonders.com and Rosa Vargas of Creating Prints.com to join her on this radio venture.

Tapping into the power of social media, they launched their blog (http://resumechicks.wordpress.com/) where they regularly post articles on resumes, job search and career-related topics. They also established a collective Twitter presence as @ResumeChicks, using the hashtag #rezcks.
