Fist of Money

Do you ever feel like you could save more money when you shop, but thinking about searching for the deals, discounts, and markdowns leaves you exhausted? Well, help has arrived! I will be interviewing Rachel Singer Gordon, author of Point, Click, and Save: Mashup Mom’s Guide to Saving and Making Money Online.

Rachel will help dispel the rumors that bargain hunting is too hard by giving us Internet-based money-saving tips for all types of products for everyday life, from groceries to gas to garments.

Rachel Singer Gordon, AKA “Mashup Mom,” is a former librarian now mashing up a new career as a freelance writer, editor, blogger, and workshop leader. She’s written several books for librarians, but her most recent (What’s the Alternative? Career Options for Librarians and Info Pros) really made her think about how we can succeed with at-home work -- when we mash in those savings strategies! Gordon frequently presents at conferences on topics such as generational issues and alternative careers, teaches coupon classes in the Chicago area, and has written for The Dollar Stretcher, a popular publication on saving money. Gordon blogs on money-saving and money-making strategies at her popular deals blog MashupMom.com, which currently attracts 12,000–15,000 visitors per day. Point, Click, and Save: Mashup Mom’s Guide to Saving and Making Money Online (a CyberAge Book from Information Today, Inc.) Make sure to listen in to learn how to keep more money in your pocket.
