Let’s discuss the “label of disabled” and what this really means to the millions of people around the world, specifically Veterans in America, with disabilities. How much can you accomplish at school and work with your present mental and/or physical abilities? Some may say they have no abilities since losing sight or hearing, limbs, or cognitive (thinking & learning) functions. However, we have stories that will tell you something different. The diagnosis of diabetes, learning disabled, cancer, coronary and so many more non-visible (dis)-abilities make it difficult to manage school and work absenteeism because others cannot see what’s going on and empathize. You have strength to carry on and we will find it together. You are invited to share your story or listen as other Listeners share theirs by calling 1-646-727-3758 every Saturday morning 10-11am (AZ-time) or hear previous episodes at http://blogtalkradio.com/student2teacher Be sure to share our shows with your friends, students, and clients.
