Born and raised in Louisville, Ky., L. Young has a sound so smooth it could pour from a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon. He was groomed for music in the church and by the time he was 5 yrs old was already singing in the adult choir. At the age of thirteen he had established himself as an actor and began working professionally in regional theaters across the Tri-State area such as the world renowed Act...or’s Theartre of Louisville. Before he graduated from the prestigious Youth Performing Arts High School in Louisville, he had already taveled to Brussells, Belgium. London, the Bahamas, Hawaii, as well as the continental U.S., as a performer.

L has released three albums to date, 2004's “'They Just Don't Know”, 2008's “The 12th Letter”, and has just released the third, “Love Is A Verb”, in early 2012. He now resides in Los Angeles where he has graced the stage and studio with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, R. Kelly, En Vogue, Patti LaBelle, Toni Braxton, Gladys Knight, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Teena Marie, Stanley Clarke and Jermaine Jackson just to name a few.

Some of his writing credits include the top 5 single and title track off Jessy J's #1 Billboard debut Album Hot Sauce released Sept. 2011, writing and production on KeKe Wyatt's 2010 release Who Knew, and her 2011 release Unbelievable, production of Babygirl (Terrys Theme) for B2K on the 2002 Barbershop Soundtrack, and writing and producing Nicole Sherzinger from the platinum selling recording group The cat Dolls. L. also has songs on multiple platinum selling soundtracks.
