Today, there are many kinds of Cyber threats that are out there.  Some of course are deadlier than others . . . this includes Phishing Scams, Identity Theft, Trojan Horses, Malware, Key Logger Attacks, Spyware, Ransomware, Business Email Compromise, Social Engineering Attacks, SQL Injection Attacks, Cross Site Scripting, Malicious Links, Phony Websites, Credit Card Fraud, Worms, Viruses, etc.  You name it, it is probably has happened. 

Speaking of which there is one. This is called a Botnet Attack.  It comes from combination of the words ‘robot’ and ‘network’.  A Botnet Attack can be defined as follows:

“A botnet attack is a type of malicious attack that utilizes a series of connected computers to attack or take down a network, network device, website or an IT environment.”
