Chick Cashman is a great guitarist, song writer, film and documentary director, events coordinator hailing from Tucson Az. with time in Los Angeles CA, New York and Europe. Chick is a frequent guest on albums from around the world. Chick was featured as a prime player in my book 'Lipstick Legends,' and is a frequent performer in Tucson at the Congress Hotel and all the other happening venues and theaters.

"He has worked with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Friends of Dean Martin and Angie Bowie. His Film scores include Glenn O’ Brien’s  TV Party and Star Pets. However, for several years in the 1990’s he  transformed into the cross dressing Mr. Chick Cashman the Swingin’ Cowboy. He and his crack band The Countrypoltians were hosts to humorously popular  weekly burlesque/ variety show at Club Congress. What started out innocently enough became Tucson’s own Sodom and Gomorah–drag queens, GoGo dancers, foul mouth comics and even a few animal acts were not uncommon. In between these acts the band would play trashy instrumental music—a ‘cross’ between Link Wray  and the NY Dolls. Cashman prided himself on including many local musicians as well as national touring acts to perform on his show. Chick has been tight-lipped on his plans for the evening, but he has hinted that the performance will make the old variety show appear more like the Lawrence Welk show in contrast. Chick Cashman,  like Clif Taylor, is a Capricorn."
