Rejection Of A King * John 18:1-9

Jesus is the example that we are to follow in the last days.  Even though there is persecution in pockets of the world, we have not yet seen the Great Persecution or the Great Tribulation.  Jesus gave disciples specific instructions on what to do when they encounter persecution.  However, I don’t think the disciples saw the persecution for which Jesus spoke about when describing the end-days.  Regardless, the 1st Century body of believers did experience persecution resulting in many Born Again Jews to flee into Syria, Turkey, Macedonia, and Europe.  When we study what Jesus went through at the time of betrayal and apprehension, we see a type and shadow of what end-day Saints will experience.  We should know what to do and how to do it in order to endure until the end.

"Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:36.
