Topic: Connecting Green to Green: Helping Fund New Alternative Energy Technologies There are many funding options available for green and alternative energy companies and organizations. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has triggered interest and opportunities in this developing sector. Everything from business loans to VC investors to mutual funds to grants and government contracts are becoming more available. David L. Marks, Co-Founder of Shades of Green Network, has dedicated his personal and professional life to the prevention and remediation of toxic exposures to people, protecting the health of children and educating others about environmental issues, energy conservation, and green living. Mr. Marks has founded green businesses, business networking associations, and community outreach orgs, as well as an internet design company, and several business networking associations. He has organized forums on environmental health issues, and spearheaded green events to help homeowners save energy and money. Peter van Geldern, Co-Founder of Shades of Green Network, has founded and managed several creative companies including; an innovation agency, a new-media and event production company, an online education portal. In addition to over 25 years experience in architecture and design, Mr. van Geldern has managed many multi-million dollar new construction and renovation projects. Mr. van Geldern is internationally educated in the US, Asia and Europe with a 5 year BA in architecture from the Architectural Association of London. Some of his specialties are architecture residential/commercial, CAD, 3D, Green architecture, energy efficiency, event production, and event design.
