Seventy years ago today, the United States, UK and Canada embarked on the largest amphibious operation in the History of the World. The Normandy Landings (codenamed Operation Neptune) consisted of 24k Allied troops landing in airborne assaults and 136k troops storming the beaches of Northern France. Join us tonight for the Backstory on D-Day. You will hear the accounts of some heroes who survived and we will discuss D-Day's role in defeating the German War Machine.
