F4F Radio has primarily focused on television, be it on the tube or on the web, for the past two years. Tonight, however, marks the first foray into Broadway. Tonight we'll be discussing the enormously successful award-winning novel and musical "Wicked", where the story of L. Frank Baum's Wicked Witch of the West is reworked into something very different, where you'll never look at "The Wizard of Oz" the same way again. "Wicked" has been especially popular with younger women, who have flocked most of all to the tale of the unlikely friendship between the Wicked Witch Elphaba and the Good Witch Glinda, thanks in part to the work of two extremely well-known actresses who originated the parts - Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. (There's a reason they were both on "Glee", you know.) And well, hey, in case you haven't noticed, that's kind of a big demographic when it comes to fan fiction. Since many people saw that friendship as something much, much more, a romance where opposites attract, we'll be talking to two authors from the "Gelphie" fandom. My guests will be AinsleyAisling, who wrote huge stories like "The Effects of Gravity" and the in-progress "Defying Gravity", and Midnight-United, whose own work includes "I Could See the Stars" and "Dazzler: a Love Story".
