Hyundai invited a number of automotive journalists and influencers to a Media-Press trip in Ashville, North Carolina.  The new 2020 Palisade 3-row AWD mid-size SUV was introduced an

d test-driven for several days.

Long-time journalist Alan Gell reviews the new Palisade with his analysis of the vehicle, the drive, and the area.  It is a three-row crossover (CUV) SUV that offers seating for 8 people, along with room for cargo or luggage.  The Palisade offers All-Wheel-Drive as well as limited towing capability.

The Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride are similar in many ways with the Kia Telluride providing more emphasis on the off-road driving and the Hyundai Palisade emphasizing the premium and luxury aspects of a smoother, more comfortable ride.    During the Press Trip, the vehicles were taken over a short off-road area on the grounds of the historic Biltmore Estate and mansion.

The Press Trip was based at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Biltmore Village with the Red Stag Inn providing some of the meals.  This is immediately outside the entrance to the Estate.  The test-drive included part of the historic Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Mitchell (the tallest peak east of the Mississippi River in the US), and much more.
