Ramadan: The Month of the Qur'an

Our guest tonight is Imam Siddeeq Jihad of Detroit, Mi. Siddeeq has a passionate love, appreciation and thanks to Allah,highly glorified is He and his Prophet Muhammad,upon him be peace,forever and ever. He reverences and loves the wombs that bore him: His mother, Annie Ziegler (a mother of 10 children) his father,Vertis R. Zeigler, a Harlem Glodetrotter from 1944-1950, his first regular Arabic teacher, Rowland Saafir, the deceased, Dr. Abdul-Munim Shakir, his college professor,  his deceased Arabic study companion, Abdul-Qayyoom K. Muhammad and other enlightened Imams and Muslims for teaching him and inspiring him to continue his studies and live Al-Islam. He completed Arabic 101, 102, 201, and 202 at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Mi. The demanding, native Egyptian, dr. Abdul-Munim Shakir was his professor. Dr. Shakir returned to Allah in 2006. He prays that Allah grant Dr. Shakir, the Imams and all those who have enriched him, a high place in paradise for their noble and excellent work. Since completing the Arabic courses at Wayne County Community College, he has continued to study Arabic, while  applying the knowledge to the study of The Qur'aan. Siddeeq JIhad has conducted Arabic Seminars at Islamic National Conventions, ISNA educational conferences and cities around the country since 1992. He specializes in conducting weekend seminars throughout the country. He has conducted Arabic presentations  and/or lectures in over 50 U.S.A. cities. He is the author of the book/audio tape, Qur'aanic Arabic Keys and the book/audio tape, The Muslim Prayer Made Easy: A New English Translation Method and the book entitled, Islam in View: A Select Collection of Articles From the Good News Journal.
