Assemblymember Nancy Skinner represents the East Bay communities along the I-80 corridor from Hercules to Oakland. Assemblymember Skinner is Chair of the Rules Committee and formerly chaired the Natural Resources Committee. Skinner brings experience as a small business owner, public servant, and a record of environmental and social justice leadership. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Skinner was active in Cal’s student government, served on the Berkeley City Council where she authored the first Styrofoam ban in the US, and on the East Bay Regional Park District Board. She co-founded the international association ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability and directed the Cities for Climate Protection Campaign. Her background in climate change includes coordinating the 2005 Summit between CEOs, Governor Schwarzenegger and UK Prime Minister Blair, which helped lead to the signing of California's Global Warming Solutions Act

Kai Eckhardt worked as conscientious objector to the German army at the Children's Neurological Center in Mainz/Germany and Graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
