Homelessness never slowed Andrea President from her passionate pursuit of music. In fact, that struggle was instrumental in her musical growth, as well as her personal healing. Though born and raised in Houston, Texas, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2000 where she has been immersed in gospel and contemporary Christian music. Beside inspirations from church, she also explores the eclectic mix of rhythm and blues, country, jazz, classic rock, and tribal music to craft her own unique sound. Destiny Muhammad is a recording/ performing artist in the singer-songwriter fashion on Harp. Her genre ‘Celtic to Coltrane’ is cool and eclectic with a feel of Jazz & storytelling to round out the sonic experience. Destiny has opened for The Oakland East Bay Symphony, shared the stage with Jazz Masters Calvin Keyes, Marcus Shelby, Omar Sosa, Ambrose Akisemuire, and Jazz Divas Diane Witherspoon & Denise Perrier to name a few. She has also headlined for the 'Women in Jazz' Concert series and the AfroSolo String Virtuoso Concert Series San Francisco.
