Wow, is it Fall season already?  And is NY Comic Con just a month away? Anywho, welcome to a new episode of the Grindhouse, as powered by the Afronerd Radio Machine.  Check out the latest musings from your very own "Podcast Legion of Super-heroes" (Daryll B., Claire Lanay, Capt. Kirk and Dburt) as they wax the light fantastic concerning the following issues:  just what should we expect from this upcoming fall season from our favorite sci-fi, comic themed, noir laced TV shows-new and returning programs?; Todd McFarlane confirms that a Spawn reboot is definitely in the works; word has it that Margot Robbie may just get her Harley Quinn solo movie after all; an open letter, courtesy of The Mary Sue site critiques actress Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious/Resident Evil franchises) for her transgender comments relating to her forthcoming film, Tomboy; and channeling the Rodriguez controversy, more on Fox' Pitch, which unravels the fictional (for now) story of the first woman to play Major League Baseball, how far will gender be deconstructed (restrooms, for example)? Will we see Best Actor award designations that include multiple genders and so forth?  Comic Book Resources highlights 12 comic characters that are worthy of a solo series (and perhaps the team can add a few more); is the Thor downtime mockumentary a part of MCU canon?;  Dark Matter's season two finale ends with a bang and lastly, The Beat discusses not only the trials and tribulations of the direct market comic book business but also how that relates to why books like Nighthawk faltered in the markteplace.  Call the hosts live at 646-915-9620.
