Ms. Ty Scott has been commanding and blessing audiences worldwide for over a decade. A prolific writer, author, poet, rapper, and teacher she is a “hip hop apostle” that was “born with poetry in her veins.”

Referred to by many as: “the Maya Angelou of this generation”, Ms. Ty Scott has shared platforms with a variety of notable industry greats such as: CeCe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Martha Munizzi, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Nicole C. Mullen, Kierra Sheard, Canton Jones, Lisa McClendon, Christopher “Play” Martin, Cheryl “Salt” James, and Chuck D. Her poetic talent was successfully showcased on the National Poetry Slam level for 3 years (1999-2001); and, for 8 years (2002-2010) she spread the gospel world-wide as half of “the dynamic duo” in the Hip Hop & Poetry group: Platinum Souls. Ms. Ty Scott’s poetry has been featured in national radio ads for: Pizza Hut, McDonalds, and Aveeno. She has appeared on: BET, TBN, the Word Network, TV One, and more. In addition, her hit single, “Dey Don’t Know” (with Platinum Souls), catapulted to the Top 10 on the Billboard Music Charts.

Ms. Ty Scott has ministered at churches such as: The Potter’s House (Dallas, TX), New Light Christian Center (Houston, TX), West Angeles Church of God in Christ (Los Angeles, CA), Crenshaw Christian Center (Los Angeles, CA), New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (Lithonia, GA), World Changers Church International (Atlanta, GA), as well as her home church, Northview Christian Church (Dothan, AL). Due to Ms. Ty Scott’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, she has been honored by Organizations such as: The Fellowship of Holy Hip Hop, The Urban Gospel Alliance, and The Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards.
