Kyra is a singer/songwriter who plays original music in a unique style she calls "gospel-folk." Often referred to as a "Christian Joni Mitchell" she is a thoughtful writer who incorporates all kinds of styles into her songs from folk/rock to gospel, jazz, blues and reggae. Faith is definitely the motivation behind her music. Kyra has been making up stories and songs about things as far back as she can remember. She grew up in a family of artists, writers and teachers, and moved naturally into the art of playing guitar and storytelling at age 14. In 2004 she won 1st place in songwriting at the Babbie Mason Music Conference, and has since co-written and published songs with the Universal Music Publishing Group in Nashville, recorded several demo CDs, appeared on the television program, "Babbie's House," and recorded with the Bethel Writers' Group in Redding, California. Kyra has traveled and performed for many conferences, churches and events and was recently a judge for an American Idol-style competition, North Dekalb Mall Idol. She has played in many places on the east and west coasts, recently including a Military Base in Fort Benning, GA, events in Honolulu Hawaii and in BC, Canada. Kyra's most recent demo, that was released this December, features gospel

reggae artist, Eddie Neblett. Kyra is currently working on more recording projects and collaborations.
