Special Guest: Tim Russo, Atttorney

Thursday February 27th 2014 – Moral Courage:  Standing Up for What is Right and Especially Against the Majority with Guest Tim Russo, Candidate for Ohio's Cuyahoga County Executive.

This week, our activist theme is for us all to stand up and take action in person no matter the controversy of your activism – no matter if it is giving testimony to your state legislators, voicing opinions at political town hall meetings, street protesting, or giving radio interviews – it’s time to get up from your internet activism and take it to the streets.

As our guest this Thursday, we welcome the intelligent and controversial political activist Mr. Tim Russo, a Candidate for Ohio’s Cuyahoga County Executive in the just ahead 2014 county election cycle.  You can visit his website at http://www.timrusso.org/.  Tim, is a long time Ohio-based Democrat activist, has campaigned to take the money out of county politics.

Previously in 2010, Tim ran for a Cuyahoga County Council seat with the slogan “time to no longer be defined by our mistakes.”  That slogan was in reference to his already time-served sex felony conviction where he was sentenced to a year of probation.   But that did not stop him.   Since his societal debt was paid, he was free to pursue life’s opportunities as any other normal American citizen.

In that 2010 race, he received 730 out of 6,128 votes.  Mr. Russo placed 4th in a field of 9 candidates seeking the Democrat nomination for the seat.  He worked as a campaign consultant for U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan, presidential candidates John Kerry and Barack Obama, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
