Rise Uniting People for Progress presents "Handcuffs Off", hosted by Jihad Siddiq, featuring segments by Juan K Rogers, Marcellus Morris, and Toni Brown.

Jihad Siddiq did 28 years in prison for murder before changing his life and becoming a productive, law abiding citizen, a mentor, youth advocate, Projects Manager for the Rise UP organization.

Today's interviews are with Kip the Jeweler who talks about his upbringing and how he became the only Black jeweler in Buffalo and how he navigated the criminal justice systema and came out and changed his life.

The second interview is with Antonia Codling Esq, a criminal defense attorney in New York City since 2003.
She now works to help free the wrongfully convicted and clear the cases of those who have been imprisoned for crimes thy haven't committed, she also works with community organizations like Reign4Life to help returning citizens get on track, connect with resources that will help them reenter their community.
This interview is so informative from a brilliant Woman who has a servant's heart and educates folks on the framework of this kind of advocacy.
