HANDCUFFS OFF EPISODE 12 - Dwayne Comer & Anthony (Fuquan) Pitts
Rise Uniting People for Progress presents "Handcuffs Off", hosted by Jihad Siddiq, featuring segments by Juan K Rogers, Marcellus Morris, and Toni Brown.

Jihad Siddiq did 28 years in prison for murder before changing his life and becoming a productive, law abiding citizen, a mentor, youth advocate, Projects Manager for the Rise UP organization.

The first interview is with Dwayne Comer who was sentenced to life + 40+40+40+20 years behind bars. He served almost (22) years in prison before his pardon was announced on national TV by the President Barack Obama. Mr Comer talks about his life on the outside and how his problems with the law were turned into using the law to help others avoid taking his path.

The second interview is with Anthony (Fuquan) Pitts the Program Coordinator for the OneMic program out of Syracuse NY which is part of the Good Life Youth Foundation.
He talks about how the folks from One Mic are assisting the youth in his community working directly in Syracuse Public Schools, changing lives and setting kids on a path to success when others didn't see a future for them.

Handcuffs Off is raw, riveting and honest.
It doesn't glorify or sensationalize incarceration, Jihad will be speaking candidly with folks who served over two decades in prison and have honest conversations on the effect of long term incarceration and how we can help folks avoid the trap of cycling in and out of the justice system.

If you want to know the truth, the secrets of navigating the criminal justice system and hear exclusive interviews of people who have beat the odds and are out in society helping to make a difference, listen to Handcuffs Off.
