Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in Residence in Classics and Military History at the Hoover Institution, an emeritus professor of classics at California State University, and a national syndicated columnist for Tribune Media Services. His work appears in the National Review and other prominent publications. His latest book is entitled The Savior Generals: How Five Great Commanders Saved Wars That Were Lost - From Ancient Greece to Iraq.
