As a small businesswoman, motivational speaker, best-selling author, and former political analyst, Angela McGlowan has learned first-hand that when things veer off course, we must fight to right the path. That is the reason this pro-life, pro-gun, pro-small business, conservative ran for the privilege of representing Mississippi’s 1st congressional district. Angela was born the youngest of five siblings and was raised in Lafayette County, Mississippi. Her mother is a retired social worker mother and her father was a minister and educator. After graduating from Lafayette High School, Angela earned a degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on political science and criminal justice from Ole Miss. Following the example set by her parents, Angela pursued a career in public service. She worked in the U.S. House of Representatives for Republicans Roscoe Bartlett and John Ensign. Angela also served as Director of Outreach for Senator Bob Dole’s Better America Foundation, where she worked on policy to cut big government spending and give back to communities. A firm believer that America is strengthened by small businesses, Angela became an entrepreneur when she founded her company, Political Strategies & Insights. Through PSI, Angela assisted clients with political strategy and advocacy consulting. Angela’s continued her work as a champion of conservative policy while working as a political analyst for FOX News Channel. In 2007, she became a best-selling author, with the publication of BAMBOOZLED: How Americans Are Being Exploited by the Lies of the Liberal Agenda. Over the past year, Angela has spoken at countless conservative events and rallies throughout North Mississippi. Angela is a married to her husband, John and is the proud stepmother of two college students.
