Marc Thiessen is a veteran of a 15 year career in national security which has included being a speechwriter for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, as well as being both a speechwriter and a member of the White House Senior Staff for President George W. Bush. He currently works as an author, columnist, and political commentator for such publications as Los Angeles Times, National Review, The Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, and USA Today. He is also a regular columnist for the Washington Times, a frequent guest on Fox, CNN, and NPR; and a visiting fellow at the Hoover Institute. His first book, "Courting Disaster: How the CIA Kept America Safe and How Barack Obama is inviting the Next Attack," is a main selection of the Conservative Book Club and is a national best-seller.
