Glenn Willis was born in Camden, New Jersey and attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Mary’s Catholic Schools. At the age of 11, his family moved to the Crammer Hill section of Edgewater Park Township.

 

Dr. Willis attended Burlington City High School and Bordentown Military Institute, where he played basketball and ran track. He dropped out of Rutgers Universitytowards the end of the Viet Nam War and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Glenn is a retired Viet Nam era disabled veteran.

 

Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Glenn returned to the University to complete his course work before moving to California to continue his education. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Creative Writing, and a Master’s Degree in English Literature. He earned his Doctorate in Education with emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction.

 

Glenn has held the positions of Dean of Students, Dean of Instructional Services, Academic Dean and Director of Academic Affairs. His love for teaching and touching the lives of students saw him return to the classroom. Currently, Dr. Willis is an adjunct English instructor at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California.

 

Dr. Willis has authored such books as the “Binns” (science fiction novel), “Dear America, Do You Hear What I Hear?” Dear America, Where Do We Go From Here?  and “Terror in Oaktown  (release date 11-15-14).
