• STEPS Purpose: The Purpose of STEPS is to: 

1. Combat poverty through education, empowerment, and accountability
2. Break the cycle of dependency on social welfare programs by promoting and enabling autonomy
3. Unify community efforts by information sharing and strategic planning
4. And to take part in the ministry of reconciliation, by helping individuals return to the original state that was intended by God
