Mr. Terrence Davis AKA (Strom Trooper) & Ms. Joan Thomas AKA (Queen Bee) are members of the Northern Virginia Buffalo Soldier Motorcycle Club (NOVA BSMC). They have been working very hard on to create a License plate in which to honor and commemorate the legacy of 9th & 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers.

The famous Buffalo Soldiers have been a forgotten yet very important part of American History. The Buffalo Soldiers were to first African Americans to be officially received by the U.S. Military and for generations they served with honor. We cannot begin to tell you how excited getting a official license created in their honor for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  NOVA BSMC has been working with the DMV, and our Virginia Delegate, Mark Keam to help make this possible. The bill has been introduced ‘Virginia General Assembly (House Bill Number # 1040), for issuance of a “Buffalo Soldier commemorative License Plate”.

The State requires that we acquire 450 prepaid applications at a cost of $10 per vehicle regular or $20 for personalized plates. At present we have approximately 150 pre-paid applications ready to submit, however once the Bill passes, we must have all 450 prepaid applications we need your help.

We respectfully request your support and any assistance you can give in helping us past along this information to all VA residents to bring this task to life.  The Application and the proposed design are on the NOVA web site at: www.novabuffalosoldiers.com.  Click on VABS Proposed DMV plate.

Please do not submit applications to the DMV, contact Joan (joanthomas17@hotmail.com) or Terrence (mr.tdavis@gmail.com) with your completed application and for questions.
