This week Tennis 2020 talks with Peterson School of Tennis Director Jewel Peterson.  Jewel is a direct product of Peterson School of Tennis. She is the daughter of the late Coach Ernie Peterson who was 2003 US Olympic Committee Developmental Coach of the Year. She is in charge of day to day operations at Peterson School of Tennis. After an extensive junior tennis career, including the USTA National Traveling Team, as well as two national junior titles, Jewel attended the University of Southern California as a recipient of a full athletic scholarship. There, she was a four time All-American as a Lady Trojan and #1 singles player all four years. Jewel graduated with a BA degree from the Annenberg School of Communication. Following graduation, Jewel competed on the WTA tour-playing events like the U.S. Open and the Sony Erisson to name a few. She reached a high of 204 in the world. She also played team tennis professionally with the Newport Breakers. She has PTR and High Performance Tennis Training Certifications. She is also a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor and can be seen on FGTV as the host of “Fulton Fitness with Jewel Peterson”.
