Alligator Records is 40 years old! In 1971 Bruce Iglauer founded an entity to record his favorite group at that time Hound Dog Taylor & The House Rockers. Iglauer was a mere 22 years old and serious Blues enthusiast. In fact he cut his teeth at prestigious Delmark Records as a shipping clerk. Once again history proves you can't keep a passionate young person down. A true entrepreneur who invested a small inheritance that evolved into the leading Blues label that continues to provide Blues and Roots music.
