About 2 Years ago, I was introduced to Steven Vucci (CEO/Studio Engineer, Dorrance Plaza Studios, Providence, RI). At the time, Steven was managing a temporary 6-Month radio show (The Vibe) featured on public radio, which lacked an important aspect for ratings; Music. Steven asked me to submit a demo of a short-wave radio broadcast that I practiced with on a rarely tuned frequency on a remote piece of property in Northern Maine. Soon after Steven reviewed the demo, Radio 108 was born.

Radio 108 Started off as "The Diggs with Mike Monte." A lunch time 1 hour special, recorded and produced at Dorrance Plaza Studios in Providence, RI. The show featured Classic Rock and 70's Hits Music, and it trialed for the last 3 consecutive days of “The Vibe” and boosted TLH (Total Listening Hours) by 7%. Steven felt that radio needed at least one show that featured a vintage 70s feel, and since popular syndicated radio stations aren't exactly affordable, he purchased a 1 year contract with Live365. If ratings were well, a 5 year contract would follow.

The station, named Radio 108 with Mike Monte was broadcasted by Live365 relay on 107.9 FM in Northern Aroostook County, Maine. Through Live365, Radio 108 was available on every Tivo, Roku, Apple, and Android Product not to mention the Internet. We gained popularity in the radio community in 6 Months and hosted cash giveaway contests, very few local advertisements for people we knew who wanted to invest (we liked it that way) and short gags, but most of all Classic Rock and 70s Hits, popular and obscure.
