Join Conscious Groove's poetess Tracy Powell with special guest Nate Booker. In 2003, Nate began performing his poetry in the small but electric Spoken Word Venues in the Baltimore Metro area. All who heard his poetry were endeared to him because of his inane ability to touch and eloquently write and speak on real life issues, as well as his engaging delivery and his naturally warm conversational tone. Audiences were on their feet. Nate compiled and self-published his first book of poetry in 2009, entitled, “…And My Soul Cried Out!” which has received many positive reviews on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Google Book websites, respectively. Nate has been published several times by the now defunct poetry site, Timbooktu.com as well he’s had poetry published in anthologies published by the National Library of Poetry, Poetry Archives, Dances with Words Volume 1 published by Ana Monnar as well as a host of Poetry websites Nate is a single father of 2 and although poetry is his first love, he’s decided to put the “poetry pen” down and is presently working on his first novel, a relationship piece entitled… “Xes & Oh…!” which is proj ected to be in print by fall 2013 to spring 2014. Be prepared to have all your senses touched. Be prepared to take a journey far beyond any destination you've gone before.
