WREEL Readers

Founded January 2004, WREEL Readers selected "Sisterhood Situation" by Janette McCarty Lourad as the first book for the group to read and discuss at its February 2004 meeting. "Sisterhood Situation" is based on the relationship of four very different women whose friendship remains true--blue as they face life, love, heartaches, and joy. This selection proved to be the most befitting as the group's first selection. WREEL Readers started with four members who remain loyal to the vision of enhancing and enriching our lives through literature and has become a nationwide literary community. We have members of all ages who share a passion for reading, lively group discussions, fun activities and new friends. Our Mission Our mission is to enhance and enrich lives through reading. Our Belief We believe that as we read, cultivate, enhance and enrich our lives, we enhance and enrich the lives of those around us. Our Goal Our goals are to promote self-awareness, remain culturally aware, increase literacy in our community and be the premier source of information for members of the literary community.
