Possessing the soul of a revolutionary, the mind of a philosopher, and the drive of a hustler, Day One’s music is rooted in the daily struggle. The struggle of working a 9-5 you hate, of trying to finish college and get a ‘good’ job, of living up to other people’s expectations while trying to follow your own dreams, of having children at a young age, of hustling to survive, of dealing with racism and discrimination, religion and spiritually and the common struggle of living and finding meaning in life.
