Is dating outside your race bad?

The only perception that matters when dating are the perceptions of those in the relationship.  Why are so many people choosing to live in bubbles limiting their companion choice to a specific ethnic group?  They would rather be alone and complain there are no good men or women, but limit their choices by holding on to perceptions that may or may not be true about that group. A few examples are, Black women are angry, White men provide secure financial footing, Hispanic women are fiery, and uncompromising, or Asian women are submissive and timid.
