“Jesus had to die so that we may live” Romans 8:1-5
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
To truly understand this scripture, we must examine what the word condemned means. Webster dictionary says: sentenced to a particular punishment, especially death, officially declared unfit for use, an unfavorable or adverse judgment; indicate strong disapproval of; censure to pronounce to be guilty. I then went to the bible dictionary, and it reads: an act of pronouncing someone guilty after weighing the evidence, we all was found guilty and received the penalty of sin death in eternal damnation. We were on death row and had no winning defense for ourselves, we needed a Savior. There was nothing we could do in and of ourselves to save ourselves. Oh, but God look at the situation, which was not how He planned, so He made a way out of no way. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God send His only begotten Son to die so that we may live eternally. The world have the opportunity to be saved, but not everyone will accept the free gift offered.
