Words of Wisdom - Plain and SImple - Hosted by Dianne Adams, a servant of God - Wednesday, May 20, 2020 @ 8:30 PM  Call in number 1-347-945-7659      "The Lord is our Shepherd"  Psalm 23  ALLOW GOD TO LEAD AND YOU FOLLOW! If you can truly say the Lord is your shepherd you must realize that you are His sheep. There is no "if" nor "but", nor even "I hope so"; but we should be able to say as David said, "The Lord is my shepherd. He will be your provider, He cares for you, He watches over you, He is my protector, He will never leave me nor forsake me, He has my best interest at heart and He will lead and guide you always in the right direction, then you know Him as your shepherd and you are His sheep. The bible referred to Jesus as a shepherd before He was born. Micah prophesied in the Old Testament about Jesus coming and becoming our shepherd.  Micah 5:4 said: 4 He will stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God. And they will live securely, for then His greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. Jesus is often described as a shepherd in the New Testament. First Jesus is described as the Good Shepherd John 10:11 Jesus says I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.  This scripture lets us know who our shepherd is and what He is willing to do for us. Second Jesus is described as the Great Shepherd Hebrews 13:20 says May the God of peace, that brought again from dead the our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.  Third Jesus is described as the Chief Shepherd 1 Peter 5:4 and when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fade not away. Yea though you walk through the shadow of death fear not evil.
