“God’s promise was delayed but not denied” Numbers 14:10-20

WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH!

Numbers 14:10-20 10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.11 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere (before)  they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? 12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

God had provided all the provisions but they had to believe it to achieve it. They searched the land for forty day.  The report of the spies was yes the land flowed with milk and honey, the cities are walled, the people are strong and some are giants, and we are as grasshoppers, this would be too much for us to conquer.  Ten spies gave this evil report, but Caleb and Joshua rebuked them saying if God be for us who can be against us, if God is with us fear them not. The people believed the report that the ten spies gave and became angry with God, because He wasn’t doing it the way they thought He should, Moses and Aaron, for leading them there, and decide that they would stone Caleb and Joshua, for not agreeing with them. This report angered God, so He decided to delay His promise, not denying it, because if He said He would, He would.

This was the straw that broke the camel's back!
