It was God who created a way for us to be born again   John 3:1-16

"You must be born again"

What happens when a Christian sins? If God doesn't send us to Hell, then how does He deal with us about our sins after we've been saved? This subject becomes rather easy to understand when we fully realize that we are now God's children. We have entered into a Father/son relationship with God.  Christians need to understand that their bodies have not been born again, only our souls have been saved. Our flesh is still corrupt, and until it dies it will be remain corrupt. Paul said that in the flesh dwells no good thing (Rom. 8:18). When you receive Christ your soul is born again but your flesh still operate with its full force.  God realized this so He allows His Spirit to dwell within us to help us resist the temptations of the flesh. When we first believe the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our body. The indwelling Spirit gives evidence of new life by producing the fruit of the Spirit in the believer’s life.  Since the soul has been made righteous through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, God has found it necessary to separate the soul from the body. This is called spiritual circumcision.

The burden of sin was lifted, and the Holy Spirit of God came to live within your soul, not in your flesh! A Christian's flesh is still corrupt and sinful, so we are to live in the spirit, not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. In Matthew 26:41, Jesus Himself said, "....the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
