In fact, before Dr. Dunbar developed SIRIUS Puppy Training Classes in 1981, there simply were no puppy classes. He is a world-renowned veterinarian, animal behaviorist, trainer, best-selling author, and known as one of the best dog-training speakers in the world.

He founded the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) in 1993- -the largest and most influential association of dog trainers in the world. And, among many other accomplishments, Dr. Dunbar created and developed the San Francisco SPCA's Animal Behavior Department, the American Kennel Club's Gazette "Behavior" column, which he wrote for seven years, and the K9 GAMES.
