My Childhood Favorites In The Basement With JaVonne

Since this is a holiday weekend, one that brings back fond memories of family barbeques and picnics, I have been reminded of some of the sounds that shaped my love of music. Actually, my love of music is still being shaped. Whenever I hear something brand new that hits me in a particular way, it adds to my musical taste, so, I'm going to do this show only focusing on music I knew by age 12.  Let's go back...back into time...Now most of it is "soul music" and "R&B" but you might be surprised at some of the cuts that made my list of early favorites.
