Westchester On the Level

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY -- Yonkers Democratic City Committee endorsed two candidates for elected office: Wilson Terrero, one-time Yonkers City Councilman to District 2 vying to return to the very elected office he held, and incumbent Westchester County Board Legislator Virginia Perez, representing District 17 vying for support for her re-election effort. They have each individually gained knowledge and understanding in the service to they people they have and continue to serve, in office, and outside office. We learn from each how public service informed them. Was it how to listen? Was it how to engage and invite public input into issues of concern? Was it how to interact with fellow elected officials in similar offices, or those in different capacity? Has what they have each learned emboldened their interest to support one another should they both win in the General Election? If so, how do they intend to forge a relationship toward the service of the constituents they intend to serve? We begin the broadcast day with Ms. Perez and Mr. Tererro in the opening segment at 10am.

Because both candidates are bilingual, we will begin the discourse posed by moderator in English first because the moderator does not speak Spanish. After each has an opportunity to respond in English, we will alternate between the two candidates to pose the question first asked in English to again be posed in Spanish.
