YONKERS, NY — January 8, 2015 — The “featured” BlogTalkRadio program “Westchester On the Level with Narog and Aris” opens the Friday, January 9, 2015th broadcast day with New York State Senator George Latimer representing the 37th Senate District to discuss the process he is undertaking at the New York State Legislature in Albany during its first week back in session.

Our second guest is Ross J. Pepe, President of the Construction Industry Council of Westchester and Hudson Valley, Inc. He joins the show at 11:00 a.m. as a member of and advocate of the Rebuild NY Now initiative. Mr. Pepe advises, “New York State’s long-standing public policy of underspending on road and bridge repair and improvements has been injurious to the safety of the motoring public, the efficiency of transportation performance, and to the overall health of the economy. Accidents and injuries are the result of poor pavement, choking congestion and sub-standard transportation conditions. Billions of dollars in economic activity are squandered every year as a result of these failures. We discuss the concerns, the funding sources available, and the timeline that will be required to begin the process and the rationale for it.

With time left, we will again delve into the issues of the day, particularly on the international news front and/or concerns of our listeners.

Hezi Aris is your host today.
