Currently living in New York City, Karl Bynes is a native of Arcadia Florida. This close knit community gave him the platform to hone is talent via Church and school. After High School, Karl attended Florida A&M University where he studied Physical Therapy and sang in the World Renowned FAMU Gospel Choir. Upon graduating from Florida A&M, he returned home to study for his PT Board exam. After successfully passing the NPTE,  Karl relocated to Orlando, FL. While working in Physical Therapy was rewarding, Karl felt he wasn’t honoring his love for music. A quick visit to NYC for a friend’s birthday party sparked something within. He took a leap of faith and moved to New York City. Karl knew NYC was the place to nurture his gift and grow.  This came in the form of singing at world famous open mics like The Village Underground where he learned from Cheryl Pepsii Riley, Ron Grant, and many others. Or The Sugar Bar where you can find industry giant Valerie Simpson of Ashford and Simpson. Auditioning for Broadway shows, Commercials, TV shows, and still working as a Physical Therapist, Karl was able to pursue music and entertainment on a weekly basis. However, one audition would change his life forever. In 2014, critically acclaimed, Hollywood film director, David E. Talbert held workshops and searched the country for new talent to bring to Hollywood. It was there, in David’s Philadelphia workshop, Karl made an impression that Mr. Talbert would not soon forget. Thanks to David E. Talbert, you can catch Karl's big screen debut in the hit film "Almost Christmas" as the Lead Singer of the Church choir. He's also thrilled to be featured on the soundtrack leading "Magnificent”.
