Survival is not easy!  The aftermath of abuse often causes the survivor to recoil and become destructive to themselves and others.  However, if one heals properly, a healthy life of thriving is very possible.  The rate of abuse, child abuse, domestic violence and sex trafficking, effects 1 out of 4 females and 1 out of 6 males.  So you can be sure that in a room with 10 people, 2-3 of them are survivors or current victims.  While interviewing the cast and crew of Black Girls Die Too:  The Backpage Murders, I found the statistic to be true.  Tonight, we have three of the actors who have endured and/or witnessed abuse.   Lamarc Bishop, Rhoda Ross-Williams and Mary Fields, a few of the cast will be with me to tel their stories tonight at 8pm.
